DENTSPLY Canada is an active partner and supporter of Health Partners International of Canada (HPIC). HPIC is a Canadian humanitarian organization that provides free medical aid to the developing world without discrimination.
DENTSPLY Canada is a sponsor of the HPIC Dental Travel Pack (DTP), by donating products such as Xylocaine Dental anesthetic to equip the pack One DTP can treat up to 200 patients and is designed for Canadian dentists traveling abroad to relieve pain, perform extractions and basic restorative procedures, such as temporary fillings.
The Dental Travel Pack has been sent to areas such as China, Guatemala, Jamaica, India, Vietnam, Sierra Leone, Honduras, Peru, Haiti, Pakistan, Armenia, Uganda and Nicaragua. Clinics are then set up in community gathering rooms, school classrooms or even tents where hundreds can benefit.
